This guide covers the UK laws you should know about, what you can and can't do with a novelty card, and how to keep yourself out of trouble. The Law

Our cards don't replicate official ID. They're original designs with disclaimers printed on them. Three laws are relevant:

  • Identity Documents Act 2010 — Makes it illegal to have a false identity document if you intend to deceive someone with it. Our cards carry a printed disclaimer saying they're not official documents, so they fall outside this Act.

  • Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981 — Bans making or using counterfeit documents. Our cards are original fictional designs, not copies of anything the government issues.

  • Fraud Act 2006 — Covers false representation. If you use *any* card to lie about your age or identity, that's fraud. Up to 7 years.

Don't Be Stupid

Three rules:

  • Don't try to use it as real ID. Not at pubs, not at airports, not anywhere. It won't work and you'll get yourself in trouble.

  • Don't cover up the disclaimer. Scratching it off or sticking something over it looks a lot like intent to deceive.

  • Check your local laws. We can't account for every local regulation everywhere in the world. If you're not sure, ask a solicitor.
